VICKI GORDON

VICKI GORDON is one of the most highly respected music producers and managers in Australia. At the age of 19 she left New Zealand with her guitar and $300 to pursue a career in the Australian Music Industry. Her skills are unique and combine her deep connection to community, her extensive networks in the Australian Music & Theatre Industries with her vast experience in the commercial and corporate world.

Vicki was the first Woman voted onto the ARIA Board, in her own right, as a Director in 50 year to represent the Independents. With more than 15 years' experience as a Record Label Executive she has been integral to the success of numerous Australian artists including Vanessa Amorosi. She Managed and Produced Australia's first Indigenous model and pop artist, Brenda Webb, receiving an ARIA nomination for her hit single Little Black Girl and was responsible for the development of Independent singer/songwriter Emma Louise. She has managed Indigenous artists Ursula Yovich and Emma Donovan and produced Emma's ground breaking video tribute to the Stolen Generations entitled Ngarraanga. Vicki created and produced the first Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Women's Contemporary Music Festival, first All Girl Rock Festival and the first training program for female DJ's in Australia. In 2010 she established Vicki Gordon Music Productions specialising in the creation and development of new Australian work for the domestic and international stage. She has successfully presented new work in North America, Canada, Hawaii, New Zealand and Hong Kong and is currently the Curator and Producer for the critically acclaimed Barefoot Divas.
